Walk-a-thon 2008

Walk-A-Thon is Opstad PTA's only significant fundraiser.

During September, students collect pledges to sponsor them for walking laps at the Walk-A-Thon event at Opstad on Sept. 29th. The Walk-A-Thon is a fun event where the students try to walk as many laps as they can during the two hour window. All the while, they are encouraged by parent helpers, music, and an occasional snack donated by local businesses.

Sponsoring your child is simple and can be done two ways:

sponsor a flat amount
sponsor on a per lap basis (can put a max laps on this as well)

Either way, you (neighbor, family member, friend, coach, or anyone else) can make your payment online or to the student's collection envelope. The goal this year is $65,000!

Walk-A-Thon is a great event to help out at! If you are interested in helping out, or would just like more information on helping out, please fill out this short form.

Sept. 26th - Red, White and Blue Day
Sept. 27th - Team Jersey or Uniform Day
Sept. 28th - Crazy Hair, Hat or Socks Day
Sept. 29th - Otter Wear Day
Sept. 29th - Walk-A-Thon 1:05 - 3:05 PM
Sept. 29th - Pizza Social 3:25 - 4:30 PM

Click "Donate" below to sponsor a student with an online payment! NOTE: on the final payment page you must click the "student name" line and enter the student's name to be sure they get credit. Also please enter the donation on their Walk-A-Thon envelope.
